The GE Voluson S6, is one of GE's premier and reliable ultrasound systems. Part of GE's "Voluson" family, the line of ultrasounds that specializes in OB-GYN and women's healthcare exams and applications, the Voluson S6 stand proudly between the "P" series (Voluson P6, Voluson P8), and the "E" series (Voluson E6, Voluson E8).
The Voluson S6 is capable of conducting exams in both 2D, 3D and 4D (the ultrasound term for "live 3D" exams). It is compatible with the the popular RAB4-8-RS 3D/4D abdominal transducer, as well as the RIC5-9w-RS endovaginal transducer for 3D/4D OB-GYN exams. Other transducers include regular 2D abdominal transducers, linear array transducers, and endovaginal probes.
